Since the first Rice Journal
rolled off the presses more than 100 years ago, our editors have strived to bring its readers the most accurate,
updated and informative articles concerning the U.S. rice industry. We are in the field, in the lab and at the rice industry meetings gathering
information that will help our readers-the rice producers-produce a profit.
Profit is the key word in today's agricultural community. With rice entering a free market system, producers need to stay abreast of the
most accurate, timely information to improve production, increase crop quality and ultimately market the grain for the highest price
attainable. Rice Journal provides the information
necessary for a producer to achieve a successful harvest.
Rice Journal is a valuable tool used by rice producers. Rice
Journal editors have cultivated a strong working relationship with the
scientific community-the starting block for quality rice production. Specialists and researchers who dedicate their work to the rice industry
trust Rice Journal to report their findings accurately and
completely. Similar bonds of trust established with the rice business leadership
permit Rice Journal editors access to the latest happenings throughout
the industry. Rice Journal editors also have the most face-to-face
contact with rice producers, receiving firsthand knowledge about their production and concerns. Rice Journal keeps producers
informed of significant breakthroughs in rice production, political and
environmental issues, and markets.
Because Rice Journal places
the most timely and profit-producing editorial in the hands of rice
farmers, they have developed a high level of trust, credibility and
confidence in Rice Journal. This credibility greatly
enhances readership each month. And readership means your advertising in Rice
Journal will be the most effective it can be anywhere. Call your

Regional coverage
Rice Journal is published six times a year-January through
June. Three regional splits are available: Delta (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi,
Missouri); Texas; and California. Information on the primary production practices reaches rice
producers approximately two months before they are involved in the actual
activities, allowing producers to make important management and purchase
decisions.
